Downtown Kingston! is the region’s entertainment district, hosting a multitude of community events as well as major festivals and celebrations. From street performing, live music, and food tasting, to interesting boats, and fireworks, we host it all with a sparkling waterfront and historic buildings as a backdrop. February 6-9 - Feb Fest 2014
Join in on one of Ontario’s premier winter events. Feb Fest features a flurry of fantastic fun: a figure skating show, Hockey Day in Kingston, skate with the Fronts, Car Harris Cup, The Historic Hockey Series, a winter fun zone, public skating and so much more!

 

May-September - Kingston Public Market
Established in 1801, the Kingston Public Market operates every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 6am to 6pm in Springer Market Square- watch for special market events & Antique Market on Sundays. www.kingstonpublicmarket.ca

 

April 27 & 28 - Limestone Race Weekend
Let's get moving! Challenge yourself in the area's most scenic 5km, 10km and Half Marathon races. Sign up at www.krra.org

 

May 11 - Homegrown Live
This annual music festival features Kingston's favourite "homegrown" bands and artists in venues around Kingston. Proceeds go to the Joe Chithalen Music Instrument Lending Library and the Partners in Mission Food Bank. www.homegrownlive.ca

 

May 23 - Art After Dark

June, July & August - Movies in the Square
Grab your lawn chair and come down to Springer Market Square for another great season of Movies in the Square! Shows begin June 20 and happen every Thursday until August 29. Show time is at dusk. Click here for movie lineup!

July and August - Local Food Local Chefs Cooking Demos
Free cooking demos happen every Saturday staring July 6 from 11am - noon at the Kingston Public Market where Kingston's best chefs demonstrate how to cook with local food straight from the Market! Samples $2 while supplies last. www.kingstonfood.ca

July 1 - Canada Day/Limestone Mile/Red & White People Parade
The Limestone Mile at 9:00am, Red & White People Parade at 11:30am and live music all day in Confederation Park ending with fireworks at 10:00 pm!

July 11 to 14 - Kingston Buskers Rendezvous

Aug 1-5 - World Invitational Town Crier Championships

August 9 & 10 - 1000 Islands Poker Run

You better watch out, you’d better not cry... Santa Claus is coming to town! Santa will make his way down Princess St. beginning at Bath Rd. starting at 5pm.

The annual release of 5 historic properties cast in pewter begins in November.

 

December – Santa Bucks
