Everyone has a role to play in keeping our downtown clean!
The Keep It Clean program is a refocus on maintenance in Kingston’s downtown core to ensure the downtown area is kept clean, inviting and safe. This program is a partnership between the City of Kingston, Downtown Kingston!, downtown businesses and residents and includes:
- City by-law officer dedicated to the downtown area
- Street sweeping machines and pressure washes
- Downtown businesses keeping their storefronts clean
- Summer student sidewalk sweeping
- Part-time shoulder season sidewalk sweeping
- New! TerraCycle cigarette butt recycling program with the City of Kingston
We want to ensure that downtown is always looking its best, to attract more people to the core area to shop and live, protect the investment the City has made to the infrastructure and surface renewal in the downtown area, and to provide Kingstonians and visitors with a better experience. www.cityofkingston.ca/waste
