Accessible Parking

There are accessible parking spaces near Springer Market Square on Market Street, Ontario Street, Brock Street and Clarence Street.

Accessible spaces will be added in the Ontario Brock Lot during the Easter Seals Skate and Sledge Hockey Demonstration.  Please note that spots may not be adjacent.

Accessible Washrooms

Located in the lower level of City Hall.  Access is off of the Brock Street side of City Hall.

Accessible Seating

For special events such as the Imagination on Ice Figure Skating Show, rinkside accessible seating is available on the east side of the rink, at the back of City Hall.  The area will be roped off during these events and volunteers will gladly let you though.

Please note wheelchairs are always welcome on the ice in Springer Market Square during Public Skating in accordance with the City of Kingston’s regulations:

Wheelchairs and skating aids

  • Wheelchairs are permitted during Family and Public Skating sessions, with the accompaniment of a responsible person age 16 or older with skates on.
  • CSA approved helmets are required for wheelchair occupants over 12 months.
  • Wheels must be cleaned of sand and salt prior to entering the ice surface to ensure the safety of skaters.
  • Wheelchair users are asked to use the perimeter of the ice closest to the boards.
