Love Kingston Marketplace in Springer Market Square

Love Kingston Marketplace in Springer Market Square

Update from the City of Kingston - Sept. 25, 2020:

The licensed area recently brought to Springer Market Square as part of Love Kingston Marketplace continues to be suspended until further notice. Live music performances in the Square are also suspended until further notice. This is to better support residents and visitors in following current public health guidelines as they enjoy the space, which will continue to feature bistro seating, streamed music, and local vendors at the Love Kingston Marketplace vending stalls when the Kingston Public Market is not operating. As of Oct. 1, Springer Market Square will serve as the first stop on the Kingston Frontenac Public Library’s Story Walk activity for families. Expanded outdoor space for participating downtown businesses remain in place as Love Kingston Marketplace continues into the fall.

The City of Kingston is reimagining parts of downtown to create more public space for pedestrians and businesses, and create opportunities for new, creative experiences aimed at rejuvenating the downtown over the next several months. This will also allow businesses more room to operate with physical distancing and help residents to shop local in a safe way.

Downtown Kingston! (DBIA) will be working with the City of Kingston staff and Tourism Kingston to explore opportunities  to animate the reimagined space by partnering with Kingston’s cultural community.
