Whit Kingston
239 Princess St.

This November, Cyndy Gibson and Rob Sinclair will celebrate 25 years of business in downtown Kingston! 15 of those years have been spent running their very successful clothing store, Blueprint at 246 Princess St. Though Blueprint was very successful, the two thought it was time to try something new. A renewal is a great way to reboot the look and product mix of a store and while daunting, the idea of change was compelling!

The catalyst for change came when the perfect location became available next door to the new location of Blueprint’s sister store, Agent 99 (237 Princess St). Renovations at both locations were extensive. The original pressed tin ceilings were exposed and large double doors were put in place to welcome new and returning customers. Gibson and Sinclair thought the historic retail space warranted a nod to the Whitney family who ran a much loved home store in the same spot generations ago (you can still see the original sign on the awning). Hence, the new name for the store, Whit!

Whit’s product mix continues to focus on the Kingston lifestyle with custom items like toques and tees, as well as great lines like North Standard (an up and coming Canadian-made brand). Of course, many Blueprint favourites will continue to be carried like Herschel, Levis, Vero Mode and Brixton. Whit staff is always on the hunt for the latest, freshest styles so keep dropping in to keep up on the latest trends!
